Some audience members from the Mirrors Project play workshop of “To Your Health!” and “Getting an Education” at Saik’uz FN.
The actors and workshop audiences (which included attendees of the Nechako Community Arts Council’s AGM; members of the Welcoming Communities committee; and members from Saik’uz FN) joined together after the performances of original plays, “Prosperity” ,“Language Lessons”, “To Your Health!” and “Getting an Education” to discuss the realism of the struggles portrayed in the plays. Thanks to the actors and audiences for your thoughtful participation in the play workshop process. While the subject matter was sometimes difficult, there was lots of laughter in the discussion (and even in some of the plays!).
Congratulations to Lisa Striegler and the cast and crew of Saik’uz & Settlers! You all worked very hard, and this play is now part of Vanderhoof’s legacy.
