Head to Neighbourhood Space every Monday and Friday, 10am-1pm, for Good Neighbours’ Day! Enjoy some soup or sandwiches and a warm cup of coffee while shooting some pool or catching up with your neighbours!
Check out the Saik’uz and Settlers Legacy Project Discussion Session! Join us at the Neighbourhood Space (on Highway 16, next to Subway) for a series of informal gatherings to discuss specific events and time periods in Vanderhoof’s history. Everyone is welcome to participate and share their experiences, thoughts and memories. From January 26th to March 1st, 2012. 7-9pm. See dates below.

114 boards are all lined up and do they ever look good!

The fence looks so good! 114 boards are all lined up at CNC waiting for the summer when they will be installed at the Bean. (and more keep coming in almost every day). Thank you so much to all the artists from NVSS! Thank you to the classes of Mr Mueller, Ms Pye and Ms. Daniels. You are helping to make our town beautiful.

Congratulations to Valerie Pagdin for winning an iPad!

Valerie’s name was picked in a draw to win an iPad at the closing night of Saik’uz and Settlers. People that signed on to the volunteer database had their names put in the draw, as well as all the cast and crew of the play (who all put in countless volunteer hours). Valerie was one of the people in charge of costumes for the play.

New coordinators and a new blog

Gail Kristiansen and Debra Bishop

Debra Bishop and Gail Kristianson form the team that will move Volunteer Vanderhoof to the next level. Both Gail and Debra have made a commitment to promote the organization, encourage new volunteers to register, meet with agencies and non-profit groups to assess their volunteer needs and inform volunteers of the opportunities in community.
